Kingfisher Retreat in the New Forest village of Blissford near Fordingbridge, is a beautiful thatched cottage with many charming
features, including oak beams and inglenook fire places, with a delightful secluded lodge both overlooking our own spring fed lake and stunning well kept gardens. Guests are welcome to stroll, relax, enjoy a picnic or a glass of wine and enjoy the wildlife, peace and tranquility.

The "Gardeners Lodge", with triple aspect windows offers superb secluded accommodation, with comfortable quality furnishings,double bed with white linen, ensuite shower room with deluxe soft white bath sheets, and hand towels provided.

The Lodge has tea and coffee facilities, a sitting area with two comfy armchairs, colour television with digibox for extra stations and a DVD player. It also has china and cutlery along with dining table and chairs and a full size fridge should you wish to bring back a snack or take-away, breakfast can be served in the "Gardeners Lodge" or on warm sunny days outside overlooking the Lake.

Cottage Room

Our "Cottage Room" offers traditional accommodation within the main cottage, with quality furnishings, double bed with white linen.


There is an en-suite shower room complete with deluxe soft white bath sheets and hand towels provided. There are tea and coffee facilities, fridge, colour television with digibox for extra stations and a DVD player. "The Cottage room" has lovely views over our white garden, chickens and adjoining fields.

Our breakfast room has splendid views over our Lake, from Autumn until Spring the wood burner is usually alight in the inglenook, creating a wonderful warm atmosphere in which to enjoy a superb traditional english breakfast and choice from the buffet table or continental or vegetarian. We use meats from our local butcher, eggs from our chickens, homemade bread and preserves. A breakfast to enjoy and savour.

Kingfisher Retreat has direct access onto the New Forest for cycling, horse riding and walking. Fordingbridge a riverside country town is only 1 mile away, and we are ideally situated between Ringwood and Salisbury. Coastal resorts, such as Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are 30 - 45 minutes away.

We only accept cheques or sterling
No Smoking (accept in the garden)
Due to the wildfowl and the lake we regret we are unable to accept children or dogs.
Departure 10.30 am. Arrival by arrangement.

Reservation: 1 night fee payable with your reservation.
Cancellations: Your deposit will only be returned if we are able to fill the vacancy, less £15. administration charge.

As with all holidays, insurance is recommended.
