Heather Cottage, Sway Near Lymington has New Forest Ponies roaming past the door.

Heather Cottage is in a quiet lane on the New Forest where ponies roam free past your door.
Sway village centre with shops, post office, the church, a pub and a station,
is only 15 minutes walk and a short drive takes you into Lymington
with a wider choice of restaurants and shops.

We are delighted to offer you a special out of season treat - why not relax and warm by our real wood burning stove, after a bracing New Forest Walk whatever the weather.

All our visitors receive a warm welcome with a choice of the following rooms:

One double room with a king size bed with en-suite.
A double room/twin/family sleeping up to 3 in double and single bed with en-suite.
Single room with extra long bed, dressing gown supplied for bathroom down stairs.

All rooms have tea/coffee making, T.V, and radio .

A travel cot is available by arrangement.

The Hare and Hounds serves good meals and welcomes children, it is 5 minutes away.
There are restaurants close by.

Looking for a holiday location to share with friends? They could stay go self catering at Heatherview which is nearby.

Sway and the surrounding New Forest area is popular for walking, riding, cycling, sailing, fishing, bird watching, and the contrasting atmospheres of wooded forest, heath, the Solent, open sea and beaches. Lymington, with its Georgian buildings, harbour, Saturday market, marinas and access to the Solent Way coastal path is 3 miles away.

The Isle of Wight ferry leaves hourly for day trips to the Island from Lymington. Beaulieu Abbey and Motor museum, Exbury Gardens, Hurst and Calshot castles, Moors Valley and Paultons adventure parks are all within half an hour’s drive.

The cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester and shopping centres in Southampton, Bournemouth and Portsmouth are less than an hour away. All have museums art galleries cinema and theatres for your pleasure.

Directions on how to find us

From Lyndhurst take the A 337 to. On reaching Brockenhurst take the B 3055 opposite Careys Manor Hotel and LeBlaireau Restaurant, stay on the B 3055 and go under two railway bridges and take the 2nd turning on the left at Sway Memorial signposted Pennington. Chapel Lane will be found in approximately 1/4 mile on the right hand side just after the post box. Heather Cottage is 4 cottages down on the left hand side.

Have a safe journey and please watch for ponies as there is a 40 mile an hour limit on the B 3055 and ponies have the right of way.
