Bed and Breakfast in a New Forest village
Garden Hideaway Bed and Breakfast (B&B) is in Damerham near Fordingbridge, on the edge of the New Forest National Park.
Our two hideaways stand at the end of the garden, each with its own decking area overlooking the lawn, trout lake and pond.
Each hideaway has a double bed, en-suite shower room and comfortable seating. They are furnished with a homely mix of soft checks and vintage florals.

The New Forest National Park
The wild open heathlands and woods of the New Forest are just a few minutes drive east. This side of the forest is excellent for walking and watching the wildlife. There are options for all abilities - from a half hour stroll to a full days hike. There are also many excellent pubs serving great food which can be incorporated into your route.
A couple of miles north west of our Hideaways is Martin Down NNR. An area of lowland grassland covering 342 hectares, the reserve is home to an exceptional collection of plants and animals associated with chalk downland and scrub habitats. These include a number of rare and threatened species. This is a wonderful area for walkers, artists, nature lovers and photographers. Why not take a picnic and spend a day exploring and taking in the views? Notable plants found in the area include bastard toadflax, field fleawort, early gentian and lesser centaury. Twelve orchid species have also been identified, including burnt-tip, green-winged, greater butterfly and frog. Five bat species have been recorded in the area: noctule, serotine, brown long-eared, common and soprano pipistrelle; and brown hare is found throughout the site. Birds found at Martin Down include turtledove, grey partridge, nightingale, skylark, yellowhammer and linnet. Occasionally hobby, quail, Montagu’s harrier and stone-curlew sometimes visit the site. Butterflies include varieties of skipper, blue and fritillary.
