Located a 15 minute walk away from the small forest hamlet of Pilley, an ideal place to explore this peaceful part of the New Forest, with miles of walking, cycling and horse-riding. In the village you will find a small shop and the reputed oldest pub in the forest. The beautiful 11th Century Boldre Church, and another character pub, are also nearby in the next hamlet of Boldre.
The Georgian Market town of Lymington is 4 miles away with its marina, restaurants, cobbled quay, boutique shops and Saturday Market. The ferry also runs from here to the Isle of Wight, docking at the lovely old town of Yarmouth.
Beaulieu, with the National Motor Museum and Beaulieu Abbey, is only 4 miles away. From here you can take the picturesque walk along the Beaulieu River to the 18th century hamlet of Bucklers Hard which has it's own museum and tiny chapel. From Pilley it is only a short drive to several beach areas overlooking the I.O.W.

The Wooden House has bright comfortable accommodation, with lovely views from all rooms. The Wooden House is detached, and is set in it's own private sunny garden, surrounded by trees and fields. Nestled in a quiet forest lane leading directly onto the forest. The Wooden House is a comfortable lodge with all the facilities for a relaxing getaway for couples and small families.
The accommodation comprises of:-
- Double Bedroom with en-suite cloakroom, 2 fitted wardrobes, double bed, 2 bedside cabinets
- Bunk Bed room with wardrobe, single bed and bedside cabinet
- Bathroom with shower over bath WC and sink
- Fully fitted Kitchen with full oven, 4 ring hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and full utensils
- Sunny Lounge /Diner with 3 seater sofa, and chair, coffee table, TV with Freeview, DVD, Stereo/CD System, Dining Table and Chairs. From here double doors lead onto:
- A covered Verandah with table and chairs for alfresco dining and relaxing, over looking fields and forest.
- Outside there is a long sunny lawn with bench and table with seating. There is also a fenced patio area with BBQ and table and chairs.
- Full gas central heating
- Ample room for parking, bikes etc within garden area.
- Bed linen and hand towels/ tea towels provided (please bring beach and bath towels)
- We can only accept non-smoking guests.
- We sometime take small/medium well behaved pets.
- Normal change-over day is Friday.
Low season: from £300 : Mid Season: from £395: High Season from £425 to £590. Short breaks available.
