Wheelers Cottage Hampshire/Dorset Border
|
Wheelers Cottage is situated on a quiet connecting road between Sandleheath and Alderholt offering a quiet and relaxed stay just outside the New Forest. Local walks take you cross country to nearby villages along the Hampshire/Dorset border, whilst two connecting roads make for easy access to the New Forest only minutes away.
Fordingbridge is the nearest small town and Salisbury is nine miles along a pretty countryside route through neighbouring picturesque villages. Driving past the popular Moors valley country park only seven miles away you can get to the beautiful south coast in just twenty five minutes.
Accommodation comprises of twin, double and king-size rooms all with flat screen TV, coffee and tea making facilities, hairdryer and ensuite shower room. There is allocated off road parking and secure lockable space for bikes/fishing equipment etc.
Our breakfast room has fireside chairs, a great place to relax and plan your stay and in warmer weather our private garden has lovely views across the countryside.
The cottage has been refurbished to a high standard and heated by an air source heat pump, solar power and log burners with a back boiler, ensuring a constant supply of hot water and rooms thermostatically controlled with the aid of under floor heating whilst at the same time being environmentally friendly. Even our sewage serves a purpose as the treatment plant recycles the waste and waters the garden.
We have been careful to select a breakfast menu to suit all, incorporating local produce where possible whilst also providing our own fresh eggs from the chickens in our garden.
