The Penny Farthing Hotel is ideally situated just off the High Street in Lyndhurst village centre. Lyndhurst is the 'capital' of the New Forest and is home to a variety of shops, restaurants, banks, pubs, as well as the main Visitors Centre and New Museum. With Southampton, Fawley and Marchwood 15/20 minutes to the East, Bournemouth and Christchurch 30 minutes West and Winchester and Salisbury 30 minutes drive our location couldn't be better!
The Hotel, which is privately owned, has evolved from two Victorian houses having had many additions over the years. All our rooms are en-suite and every room is individual in size and style.

As well as Bed and Breakfast in the main Hotel we also have two, three and four bedroom SELF-CATERING properties available with the Hotel and close by. These are ideal for a week away or long term business/relocation requirements. Each of our Cottages have names taken from the story of 'Alice' in Wonderland. "Alice" herself is buried here at Lyndhurst Parish Church.
All are within 400 metres of the main Hotel, and are ideally positioned for Lyndhurst village centre with its shops, restaurants, pubs, banks, etc.
In our Cottages the emphasis has been put on quality furnishings, decor and appliances.
