This charming period mid-terrace cottage stands in a small, quiet lane in Sway in the New Forest National Park, within walking distance of the mainline railway station of Sway. The New Forest Ponies regularly roam past and you may walk from here straight onto the open forest.
The cottage is comfortably furnished and equipped to a high standard. It is cleaned and maintained by the owner who is always willing to meet any needs guests may have and to offer advice on trips, riding, walks etc to help ensure that you make the most of your New Forest Holiday.

Downstairs at Heatherview
- There is a well equipped kitchen with a pull up table and chairs, which leads out to a small patio with table and chairs.
- The enclosed garden is laid to lawn and shrubs and is a wonderful place to relax and unwind.
- There is a clothes line and a shed for bikes and pushchairs, available for your use. The first basket of logs for your fire is in here. More logs can be bought locally.
- Bring your logs into the sitting room, enjoy a real open fire. There is also a digital TV with DVD and a digital radio. WIfi Available.
- Relax over in a meal in the dining room complete with dining room table and chairs and a sofa bed, this also makes the idea working space if you are having a working holiday, or a games room for the family.
- There is also a W.C with hand basin.
Up the Cottage stairs you will find
- Bedroom one which has a 5ft kingsize double bed. We can also lend you a travel cot for this room, if you need one.
- Bedroom two which has two 3 ft single beds (twin room)
- A bright family bathroom with an overbath shower.
Hot water and heating is from a combi boiler. Beds are made are for your arrival.
Parking for one car alongside the cottage fence and others on the verge further along.
Heatherview's Idyllic Location
Heatherview Self catering Cottage in Sway is ideally located, Sway village itself has a well-stocked general store, a butcher, newsagents, chemist, doctors surgery and a vets, as well as pubs and restaurants/hotels if you decide to eat out. The nearest pub, which serves meals and welcomes children and dogs, is 500 yd's away from Heatherview.
Sway Station is on the Poole - Southampton - Waterloo line, there is an hourly service and is ideal if you want to explore the New Forest by 'green transport', such as the bike or bus.
Brockenhurst is ten minutes drive away and is a a typical New Forest village with cafes, tourist and antiques shops.
Lymington, with its Georgian High Street, sailing harbour, interesting shops and Saturday market, is equally close .A ferry runs to the Isle of Wight from here.
Nearby attractions include Beaulieu Abbey and Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens, Bucklers Hard on the Beaulieu River and The New Forest Museum in Lyndhurst. All of the New Forest National Park is open for walking as is the Solent Way Coast Path, famous for its nature reserve. There are excellent beaches between Milford-on-sea and Christchurch harbour. Horse riding, golf, fishing , cycling, wagon rides and boating all within the immediate area and further afield are the cathedral cities of Winchester, Salisbury,and Chichester. Portsmouth, Southampton and Bournemouth offer cinemas, theatre museums and large shopping centres.

We are easy to find.
From Lyndhurst take the A 337 to. On reaching Brockenhurst take the B 3055 opposite Careys Manor Hotel and LeBlaireau Restaurant, stay on the B 3055 and go under two railway bridges and take the 2nd turning on the left at Sway Memorial signposted Pennington. Chapel Lane will be found in approximately 1/4 mile on the right hand side just after the post box. Heather Cottage is 4 cottages down on the left hand side.
