Derby Lodge, is a large Edwardian family home, wonderfully located on the South side of Lymington on tree lined Stanley Road, and meters from the Lymington River.
Just minutes walk to Lymington’s bustling high street with its great shopping, lively bars, restaurants and busy market on a Saturday. Also within seconds of the newly refurbished Lymington Sea Water Baths and the Sea Wall, a stunning 10km stretch of coastal path as well as the renown Lymington sailing clubs and marinas.
Comfortable accommodation is provided for 10-12 people. Downstairs living space includes a large south facing living/dining room with large farmhouse table, a breakfast room and conservatory and galley style kitchen leading to boot room equipped with washing machine and dryer.
Upstairs there are four sunny bedrooms, two spacious double rooms, and 2 twin rooms one with bunk beds; there is a self-contained studio with a double bed and toilet downstairs.
The garden is a huge asset in Derby Lodge, a fifth of an acre stocked with well matured specimen trees and shrubs, beautifully herbaceous borders, vegetables in season and five hens to provide fresh eggs every day; a private and tranquil garden for all ages to relax in, explore and enjoy.
The large patio with teak garden furniture is ideal for an evening barbecue in the warm Lymington summer sun. A climbing frame and large sandpit also available for young children.
Derby Lodge is a well loved and well lived-in family house which provides a wonderful base for exploring Lymington and the New Forest as well as a tranquil haven for days when simple relaxation is just the order of the day!
