Welcome to Cherry Tree Cottage - a detached cottage approached by a gravel lane surrounded by a country garden with off-road parking. We are just a few minutes level walk to the village centre where you will find ponies, donkeys and cattle wandering freely. There is a village store, quaint old tea rooms and two local pubs, horse riding and cycle hire.
Please don't forget to close the gates to stop the ponies wandering into our garden!
Our Self-Catering Accommodation
- Cherry Tree Cottage has two bedrooms, one double with a 4' 6" bed and one with a 4' bed.
- The bathroom has a shower over the bath.
- The lounge with comfortable seating for four with patio doors leading onto a south facing rear garden with alfresco dining for four.
- Well-equipped kitchen with dining table for four, gas cooker, microwave, fryer, coffee maker, washing machine and rotary dryer.
- In the garden there is a south facing conservatory with comfortable seating for four.
Burley, the heart of the New Forest
Burley has remained untouched by time, steeped in old customs and history. Burley depicts everything you would expect from a New Forest village. Witches, smuggling and dragons are also part of Burley's history. In the late 50's a white witch named Sybil Leek lived here. She was often seen walking around the village with her pet Jackdaw on her shoulder. She eventually moved to America and today one of the gift shops was named by her and her picture hangs above the fireplace.
