"Luckily, I chose to stay at Carey's cottages. The owner opened the door wearing muddy boots and had rosy cheeks and a lovely smile, perfect! It was raining when I arrived on my muddy bicycle, she fetched me a towel and made me a bowl of soup! It's a B and B but still feels like a home. I'm a huge lover of the outdoors, nature and animals. Isn't that what the New Forest is all about? My room was just right, a comfy bed too! I have stayed in B and B's before where the owners try too hard to please. What I loved about this place is the feeling that you live there, like it's your home too. It's all very laid back and relaxed. The owner has three friendly dogs and it's not unusual for the roaming ponies to wonder up to the front gate to say hello too! No, it's not the Ritz but, who cares when your in the middle of the New Forest? I loved it!" Michael from Coventry.
"My husband and I stayed in this B & B for a weekend. Our dog was made to feel as welcome as we were, which was lovely as so many places are anti - pet. The house was clean and comfortable and the owner very helpful. The location was fantastic, and we would definitely stay again." Billy
"The biggest bonus of Careys Cottages is the location: You walk past the budgies, negotiate the ponies, down the lane and there you are: in the middle of the forest with lots of beautiful walking an cycling right in front of your nose." Cardiff
